This review explains how chronic liver injury progresses toward hepatocellular carcinoma through interconnected changes in gut microbes, metabolism, immunity, fibrosis, and diet. It highlights microbial metabolites, bile‐acid signaling, immune dysfunction, and nutritional or microbiome‐based interventions as opportunities to identify risk earlier ...

Slow‐transit constipation (STC) is a disabling motility disorder with unclear smooth‐muscle mechanisms. Spatial proteomic analysis of STC patient colon reveals both the central pathogenic role of smooth muscle cells (SMCs) in STC and novel regulators of intestinal motility, BIN1 and ALDH1B1.

Metabolite correlation network of the endoscopy collected (A) and home collected (B) fecal VOC metabolomes. [PDF]
Pearson’s correlation coefficients were calculated for metabolites present in 80% or greater of the total fecal samples. A Pearson correlation value greater than 0.95 is depicted as a green line between metabolites (negative correlations are not shown ...

Oral WT1‐targeted Bifidobacterium longum vaccine promotes WT1‐associated cellular immunity and enhances anti‐PD‐1/anti‐CTLA‐4 efficacy in pancreatic cancer. ABSTRACT Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains largely unresponsive to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) due to its profoundly immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

A sulfated polysaccharide (SCP) from Cyclocarya paliurus alleviates ulcerative colitis by reshaping the gut microbiome. This remodeled microbiota orchestrates the upregulation of the host‐derived lipid 12‐HEPE, which directly inhibits the TLR4/NF‐κB pathway to suppress inflammation.
