Research on anaerobically treated organic waste suitability for soil fertilisation/Anaerobiškai perdirbtų organinių atliekų tinkamumo dirvožemiui tręšti tyrimai/Исследование пригодности анаэробно переработанных органических отходов для удобрения почв

open access: yesJournal of Environmental Engineering and Landscape Management, 2009
One of the most promising methods to convert organic waste into alternative energy and still obtain fertiliser is anaerobic digestion of waste in bioreactors.

Ultrafast Vertical Organic Electrochemical Transistors With Ion‐Permeable Conductive Polymer Top Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Vertical organic electrochemical transistors (vOECTs) are limited in speed by ion‐impermeable metal electrodes that slow ion injection. Using ion‐permeable PBFDO top electrodes allows direct vertical ion injection into BBL channels, achieving high current densities (>400 A cm−2), large on/off ratios (>106), and ultrafast switching in 28 µs. This sets a

Phase Boundary Engineering of Co2P‐CoP Branched Nanoparticles Enhances Cobalt Oxidation for Oxygen Evolution Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Phase boundaries between Co2P and CoP are constructed through a controlled transformation of Co to Co2P‐CoP branched nanoparticles. The polycrystalline mixed‐phase Co2P‐CoP branches are enriched with phase boundaries that stabilize Co active sites for OER. This work highlights phase boundary engineering as a powerful approach to tailor active sites and

Long-term spatio-temporal changes in total phosphorus concentration in CONUS rivers

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Communications
Total phosphorus (TP) concentration impacts river ecosystems, yet its dynamics remain poorly understood in the contiguous United States (CONUS). We used an XGBLinear model to estimate riverine TP solely from Landsat reflectance data. Using this model, we

Total phosphorus content of Neomysis integer [PDF]

open access: yesBoletim do Instituto Oceanográfico, 1967
Measurements of total phosphorus in Neomysis integer, showed an inverse relationship between the total phosphorus content and body weight (wet). Immature forms, presented higher content of phosphorus. Some possible implications of these results are discussed.

Phase‐Pure and Size‐Tunable Tin Halide Perovskite Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A trioctylphosphine oxide modulated protocol allows for the synthesis and study of the optical properties of a broad library of tin halide perovskite quantum dots across multiple A‐ and X‐site compositions with precise size tuning while eliminating unwanted 2D phases.

Designing Strong, Tough, Fire‐Retardant and Self‐Healing Elastomers with Phosphorus/Nitrogen‐ and Biphenyl‐Containing Segments

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
By designing a P/N‐ and π–π interacting biphenyl‐containing diol as hard segments but side groups, a strong, tough, fire‐extinguishing and self‐healing elastomer is developed, demonstrating a break strain of ∼2500%, a toughness of 379 MJ/m3 and a tensile strength of 46 MPa, as well as a healing efficiency of 95% (tensile strength) and 99% (break strain)

Effects of types of culture feed on reproduction of African Night Crawler (Eudrilus eugeniae) earthworm and chemical properties of vermicompost [PDF]

open access: yesWarasan Witthayasat Lae Theknoloyi Mahawitthayalai Mahasarakham, 2019
Consequent of the current increase in the amounts of domestic refuse, especially organic wastes, it is desirable to utilize these organic wastes by using them as food supply for feeding African Night Crawler earthworm.

Strengthened Interfacial Coupling Between Self‐Assembled Monolayers and Bulk Heterojunctions Enables Thermally Stable Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Molecularly engineered self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) featuring extended conjugated terminals facilitate superior interfacial coupling with the organic solar cell active layer. By physically anchoring the local morphology, this design suppresses thermal degradation, allowing devices to operate at 85°C for 150 h before degrading to 90% of their ...
