Scaling properties of proton-nucleus total reaction cross sections [PDF]
We study the scaling properties of proton-nucleus total reaction cross sections for stable nuclei and propose an approximate expression in proportion to Z^{2/3} _{pp}^{total} + N^{2/3} _{pn}^{total}. Based on this expression, we can derive a relation that enables us to predict a total reaction cross section for any stable nucleus within 10 ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Determination of the total photo-absorption cross section of 197Au from () reaction cross sections
Abstract Cross sections for the reactions 197Au ( γ, ℩ n ) (x ⩽ 12) have been measured for bremsstrahlung end-point energies in the range 60–340 MeV. From these dominant cross sections, the total photon absorption cross section is determined using a cascade-evaporation calculation to account for the missing reaction channels.

A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

NUCLEAR DATA UNCERTAINTY PROPAGATION FOR A TYPICAL PWR FUEL ASSEMBLY WITH BURNUP
The effects of nuclear data uncertainties are studied on a typical PWR fuel assembly model in the framework of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency UAM (Uncertainty Analysis in Modeling) expert working group. The “Fast Total Monte Carlo” method is applied on a

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

7Be and 8B reaction dynamics at Coulomb barrier energies
We investigated the reaction dynamics induced by the 7Be,8B+208Pb collisions at energies around the Coulomb barrier. Charged particles originated by both the col- lisions were detected by means of 6 ΔE-Eres telescopes of a newly developed detector array.

Nuclear reaction cross sections and the optical potentials and for the n-12C and N-12C scattering [PDF]
In this talk we first discuss total cross sections for the system n-12C in the incident energy range 20-500 MeV, calculated with a phenomenological optical potential and the optical model.

Cytosolically synthesized chloroplast preproteins are translocated across the outer and inner envelope membranes through translocons called TOC and TIC, respectively. In green algae and plants, the TIC core is composed of essential membrane proteins, Tic12, Tic20, and Tic214.
