First measurement of coherent double neutral-pion photoproduction on the deuteron at incident energies below 0.9 GeV

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2017
The total cross sections were measured for coherent double neutral-pion photoproduction on the deuteron at incident energies below 0.9 GeV for the first time.

Deuteron–nucleus total reaction cross sections up to 1 GeV [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Nuclear Science and Technology, 2016
Total reaction cross sections of deuteron, $σ_d^{\rm R}$, are calculated by a microscopic three-body reaction model. The reaction model has no free adjustable parameter and applicable to reactions at various deuteron incident energies $E_d$ and with both stable and unstable nuclei.

Deuteron And Alpha-Particle Total Reaction Cross Sections For Nuclei With A~50

open access: yes, 1981
The total reaction cross sections for the target nuclei 45 Sc, 48 Ti, 51 V and 52,53,54 Cr induced by 13.6 MeV deuterons and 27.2 MeV alpha particles were measured.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Study of enhancement of total cross sections of reactions with 6He, 6,9Li nuclei

open access: yesEurasian Journal of Physics and Functional Materials, 2017
The energy dependence of total cross sections of reactions 6He + Si and 6,9Li + Si in the beam energy range 5-30 MeV/nucleon has been measured. An agreement with the published experimental data for the reaction 6He+Si was obtained. For the reaction 9Li +

A novel path to study the total reaction cross sections

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1993
Abstract New calculations for the total reaction cross sections (σR) have been carried out within the framework of reaction dynamics in the intermediate energy nucleus-nucleus collision. The σR of both the stable and exotic nuclei were reproduced rather well. In addition, some dynamical effects on σR can be easily analyzed. The calculations reflected

Improved parametrization of the transparency parameter in Kox and Shen models of total reaction cross sections

open access: yes, 2014
The total reaction cross section is an essential quantity in particle and heavy-ion transport codes when determining the mean free path of a transported particle.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

A method for measuring light ion reaction cross-sections

open access: yes, 2005
An experimental procedure for measuring reaction cross-sections of light ions in the energy range 20 50 MeV/nucleon, using a modified attenuation technique, is described.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.
