The Signed Total Mixed Roman Domination Numbers of Graphs

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series
Abstract The problem of signed domination of graphs is a typical optimization problem. It requires that each vertex and edge be assigned a feasible label so that the sum of assigned labels is minimized. First, we propose the concept of a signed total mixed Roman domination number and introduce the related research progress.

The Floor‐Ceiling‐Chip, or 2 × 2D = Pseudo‐3D—Approaching 3D Cell Morphology and Organization between Two Opposing 2D Substrates with Cell‐Adhesive Protein Micropatterns

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Here, we present a novel 3D cell patterning and culture platform. The “Floor‐Ceiling‐Chip” (FC‐Chip) consists of two opposing track‐etched membranes, creating a pseudo‐3D microenvironment for the cells in between. By providing the membranes with micropatterned cell‐adhesive islands of varying geometries and sizes, the FC‐Chip enables control over cell ...

The Number of Minimum Roman and Minimum Total Dominating Sets for Some Chessboard Graphs

open access: yesOpen Journal of Discrete Mathematics, 2020
In this paper, both the roman domination number and the number of minimum roman dominating sets are found for any rectangular rook’s graph. In a similar fashion, the roman domination number and the number of minimum roman dominating sets are found on the square bishop’s graph for odd board sizes.

Structural Modulation of Charge Transfer in Donor–Acceptor Systems: Effects of Donor Type and Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A coherent phthalimide acceptor platform with planar (Cz—carbazole) and spiro‐type (SAF—spiroacridine fluorene) donors enables systematic tuning of donor geometry and coupling, driving the evolution of excited‐state topology from classical CT‐TADF and fluorescence/RTP to CT‐driven and LE‐assisted TADF with OLED efficiencies ≈ 36%.

Upper bounds for domination related parameters in graphs on surfaces

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2016
In this paper we give tight upper bounds on the total domination number, the weakly connected domination number and the connected domination number of a graph in terms of order and Euler characteristic.

Advanced Experiment Design Strategies for Drug Development

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Wang et al. analyze 592 drug development studies published between 2020 and 2024 that applied design of experiments methodologies. The review surveys both classical and emerging approaches—including Bayesian optimization and active learning—and identifies a critical gap between advanced experimental strategies and their practical adoption in ...

Catharine Macaulay’s Republican Conception of Social and Political Liberty [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Catharine Macaulay was one of the most significant republican writers of her generation. Although there has been a revival of interest in Macaulay amongst feminists and intellectual historians, neo-republican writers have yet to examine the theoretical ...

Opiate of Christ; or, John's Gospel and the Spectre of Class [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
This article applies a Libertarian Marxist lens to the Gospel of John. In doing so, it highlights the agrarian-aristocratic class struggle that is refracted in the text and also seeks to problematize hierarchi- cal and authoritarian ideologies. Its point

Hydration Behavior of Tricalcium Silicate in Seawater Relevant Salt Systems: A Hybrid Study with the Aid of Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The hydration behavior of C3S in seawater‐relevant solutions is studied based on experiments, boundary nucleation and growth (BNG) modeling, and machine learning. The main ions included in seawater modify hydration mechanisms, with MgCl2 showing the strongest acceleration effect at the same concentration.

Migration and nursing in Ireland: An internationalist history [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Recent research and policy interest has focused on the changing composition of the nursing workforce in the Republic of Ireland, which has seen an increase in the number and importance of overseas-trained nurses.
