Biharmonic hypersurfaces in Riemannian manifolds
, 2009 We study biharmonic hypersurfaces in a generic Riemannian manifold. We first derive an invariant equation for such hypersurfaces generalizing the biharmonic hypersurface equation in space forms studied by Jiang, Chen, Caddeo, Montaldo, and Oniciuc.
