Tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) activity of the visual cortex during postnatal development

open access: yes, 2011
Histograms show tPA activity measured as a function of the conversion of plasminogen to plasmin by tPA. Each bar represents the mean±SD (n=9). tPA activity is highest at PW3, and then declines at later developmental stages with the lowest value at PW14 ...

One‐Step Curcumin‐Mediated Multiphoton Lithography for Bioactive 3D Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Curcumin‐mediated multiphoton lithography enables one‐step fabrication of highly architected complex gelatin methacryloyl scaffolds by exploiting curcumin as a multifunctional bioactive photoinitiator. The resulting 3D structures support mesenchymal stem cell adhesion, proliferation, and migration, while exhibiting dual antibacterial activity through ...

Western blotting for tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) expression in the visual cortex during post-natal development

open access: yes, 2011
tPA has a molecular weight corresponding to 67 kDa. The staining protocol was optimized to produce a single distinct band. Data at the top of the bands shows the tPA/glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) ratio (%) at each age (mean±SD, n=10 ...

Programming Nanoscale Reaction Environments via Peptide Localization for Gold Nanoparticle Growth in Liposomal Nanoreactors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The liposome nanoreactor method enables uniform metal nanoparticle synthesis using the interior as a reaction environment. We demonstrate that peptide sequences and lipid compositions act as a functional molecular switch to control reaction environments in liposome nanoreactors.

Overcoming Photodynamic Therapy Resistance: GSH‐Responsive AIE Photosensitizer‐Hydroxycamptothecin Nanoliposomes for Extrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A GSH‐responsive AIE nanoplatform (TSH NPs) with RGD‐mediated tumor targeting co‐delivers a photosensitizer (TPA) and HCPT for extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. The system synergistically enhances PDT and chemotherapy by suppressing HIF‐1α/VEGF‐driven hypoxic adaptation, effectively overcoming PDT resistance.

Abstract Number ‐ 241: Simultaneous IV tPA During Thrombectomy Reduces Post‐Procedure Hypoperfusion Volumes in Anterior LVO Patients

open access: yesStroke: Vascular and Interventional Neurology, 2023
Introduction Simultaneous tPA administration during mechanical thrombectomy may induce synergistic benefits (1). We aimed to characterize the hypoperfusion status after thrombectomy according to the timing of tPA administration and the degree of final ...

tPA and anger management for macrophages [PDF]

open access: yesBlood, 2017
In this issue of Blood, Mantuano et al in the Gonias laboratory elucidate a novel, protease-independent signaling pathway by which tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) negatively regulates the innate immune response of macrophages and neutralizes lipopolysaccharide (LPS) toxicity in vivo ...

Distribution and profile of tissue plasminogen activator (tPA)-positive cell density in visual cortex during post-natal development

open access: yes, 2011
tPA was visualized with a fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC)-conjugated secondary antibody and the number of cells within each layer counted (data points represent the mean±SD, n=9).
