Optical, Electrical, and Optoelectronic Characterization of Ti‐Supersaturated Gallium Arsenide

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 221, Issue 24, December 2024.
Herein, a detailed investigation on the properties of supersaturated GaAs using Ti+ implantation followed by nanosecond pulsed laser melting (PLM) is presented. Absorptance measurements show a sub‐bandgap absorption (up to 6.5% for λ = 1000 nm) of the samples. The photo‐response measured below the bandgap originates from point defects introduced by the

Native Oxide Layer Role during Cryogenic‐Temperature Ion Implantations in Germanium

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 221, Issue 24, December 2024.
In cryogenic temperature implantations, the native oxide plays a critical role. Herein, the structural properties and chemical composition of germanium samples implanted with tellurium under different conditions and doses are shown. The results underscore the significance of etching the native oxide layer, as it stops the tellurium‐implanted ions while

Allergic inflammation triggers dyslipidemia via IgG signalling

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 79, Issue 10, Page 2680-2699, October 2024.
Allergic inflammation induces a unique lipid signature in circulation that is characterized by triglyceride changes. Blood changes in triglyceride levels and composition during allergic inflammation are driven by IgG signalling. IgG‐mediated allergic inflammation regulates lipid metabolism, which may contribute to atherosclerosis and, ultimately, to ...

Alpha‐Gal, epitope responsible for allergy to red meat, in the Mediterranean tick Hyalomma lusitanicum

open access: yesMedical and Veterinary Entomology, Volume 38, Issue 3, Page 366-371, September 2024.
The presence of α‐Gal epitope ( was confirmed by the presence of reactive proteins of >250 kDa in samples from engorged and unfed H. lusitanicum ticks. The highest concentrations of α‐Gal were detected in salivary glands. Neither sex nor diet influenced the concentration of α‐Gal, which seems to indicate its endogenous production and its possible ...
