During a one-year period, 31 trabeculectomies were done in 25 patients. Of these procedures, 27 (87%) were done for chronic open angle glaucoma, three (10%) for congenital glaucoma, and one for chronic open angle glaucoma in an aphakic patient. Our overall success rate was 87%.

Trabeculectomy and modifications of trabeculectomy.
Ophthalmic surgery, 1979Seventy-four trabeculectomies have been reviewed and discussed. Intraocular pressure 20 mm Hg or lower was achieved in 74.2% at the end of six months and in 66% one year postoperatively. The influence of age and sex on postoperative maintainance of intraocular pressure has also been discussed.
