Vascular Supply of Laryngeal Paragangliomas: Case Report and Systematic Review
ABSTRACT Objective Laryngeal paragangliomas are rare, highly vascularized, neuroendocrine tumors. Although surgical resection of these vascular neoplasms is associated with a known risk of significant hemorrhage, the vascular supply of laryngeal paragangliomas has been poorly characterized. Iflaviruses in arthropods: when small is mighty
Many arthropod species harbor iflaviruses, which often cause covert (asymptomatic) infections, but may still affect host fitness. We review the impact of iflaviruses on arthropod fitness, immunity, behaviour as well as the iflavirus’ host range, transmission, tissue tropism and the interactions with other microorganisms within arthropods.
