Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Contrasting magma chemistry in the Candelaria IOCG district caused by changing tectonic regimes

open access: yesScientific Reports
Iron oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) deposits are a vital source of copper and critical elements for emerging clean technologies. Andean-type IOCG deposits form in continental arcs undergoing extension, and they have a temporal relationship with magmatism ...

Precise Request Tracing and Performance Debugging for Multi-tier Services of Black Boxes

open access: yes, 2010
As more and more multi-tier services are developed from commercial components or heterogeneous middleware without the source code available, both developers and administrators need a precise request tracing tool to help understand and debug performance ...

Dynamic Traitor Tracing Schemes, Revisited [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We revisit recent results from the area of collusion-resistant traitor tracing, and show how they can be combined and improved to obtain more efficient dynamic traitor tracing schemes.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Tracing participants for longitudinal environmental health research using social networking sites: a pilot study [PDF]

open access: yesExploration of Digital Health Technologies
Aim: Longitudinal cohort study designs are considered the gold standard for investigating associations between environmental exposures and human health yet they are characterized by limitations including participant attrition, and the resource ...

Hamiltonian and Phase-Space Representation of Spatial Solitons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We use Hamiltonian ray tracing and phase-space representation to describe the propagation of a single spatial soliton and soliton collisions in a Kerr nonlinear medium.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

PRIVACY-PRESERVING REAL TIME TRACING SYSTEM FOR COVID-19 PATIENT USING GPS TECHNOLOGY

open access: yesBarekeng, 2022
The new normal condition in Indonesia does not mean that Indonesia is completely free from infection with the Covid 19 virus. Individuals exposed to the Covid 19 virus have symptoms like mild, moderate, to severe condition. Most individuals who have mild
