Targeting the HSPA8‐CMA‐ATP6V1A Axis Triggers Lysosomal Hyperacidification and Catastrophic Vacuolation in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our experimental evidence supports a model in which ALO targets the HSPA8‐CMA‐ATP6V1A axis to induce lysosomal hyperacidification and initiate osmotic and lipidomic stress. These changes are associated with LMP and loss of lysosomal integrity in prostate cancer cells.

Simulation of track settlement in railway turnouts

open access: yesVehicle System Dynamics, 2014
A methodology for the simulation of track settlement in railway turnouts (switches and crossings, S&C) is presented. The methodology predicts accumulated settlement for a given set of traffic loads using an iterative and cross-disciplinary procedure. The different modules of the procedure include (I) simulation of dynamic vehicle-track interaction in a

Track Settlement Prediction Using Computer Simulation Tools

open access: yesVehicle System Dynamics, 1999
A project is being carried out at Manchester Metropolitan University to examine the effects of different vehicles on track deterioration and consequent maintenance costs. A number of track settlement models have been investigated including those published by Prof.
