Numerical Model and Laboratory Tests on Settlement of Ballast Track
2003The long-term behaviour of ballast track was investigated. Tests on a railway model circular circuit showed troughs and saddles fixed in place. The ballast under badly bedded sleepers undergoes greater vertical deformation than under well bedded sleepers.
