Modeling the position of tracked chassis in motion in the event of mechanical characteristics of separate drive electric motors of track contours [PDF]

open access: yesНаучно-технический вестник Брянского государственного университета, 2023
Deviation of the mechanical characteristics of electric motors from the nominal values during their simultaneous operation in the structure of multi-motor drives can destabilize the accuracy of predicting the behavior of the entire mechanical system. The

Design and Performance Analysis of the Hydropneumatic Suspension System for a Novel Road-Rail Vehicle

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Road-rail vehicles built on traditional vehicle chassis can only switch operation modes at particular areas such as level crossings, thus limiting the working scope and efficiency of routine railway inspection and maintenance. This paper proposes a novel

Comprehensive Modernization of the Chassis of a Two-Link Tracked Transporter

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2021
Abstract The article considers the issue of modernization of the chassis of a two-link tracked transporter by applying the electromechanical drive sections. As a prototype was selected the chassis of the tracked transporters of the DT series with a mechanical transmission, which are produced serial in the Russian Federation. The proposed

Generation mechanism and control of high‐frequency vibration for tracked vehicles

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mechanical System Dynamics, 2023
A crawler system provides much larger ground contact, leading to excellent terrain adaptability. Due to its structural characteristics, high‐frequency vibration proportional to the vehicle speed is generated during the driving process.

Vehicle speed tracking using chassis vibrations

open access: yes2016 IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium (IV), 2016
The speed of a wheeled vehicle is usually estimated using wheel speed sensors (WSS) or GPS. If these signals are unavailable, other methods must be used. We propose a novel approach exploiting the fact that vibrations from rotating axles, with fundamental frequency proportional to vehicle speed, are transmitted via the vehicle chassis.
