Tracking Error: a multistage portfolio model [PDF]
We study multistage tracking error problems. Different tracking error measures, commonly used in static models, are discussed as well as some problems which arise when we move from static to dynamic models.

User-Controlled Privacy: Taint, Track, and Control
We develop the first language-based, Privacy by Design approach that provides support for a rich class of privacy policies. The policies are user-defined, rather than programmer-defined, and support fine-grained information flow restrictions (considering individual application inputs and outputs) with temporal constraints.

The cell‐autonomous roles of interferon type 1 vary based on duration and intensity. While acute, robust signaling results in cancer cell cytotoxic effects, sustained, low‐level signaling is associated with tumor‐promoting effects. This review summarizes current research of IFN‐1 in cancer and within the clinical setting, with an emphasis on female ...

Hsa-miR-7974 Suppresses Epstein-Barr Virus Reactivation by Directly Targeting BZLF1 and BRLF1
Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) reactivation, a key factor in Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated malignancies, is regulated by specific cellular microRNAs (miRNAs). This study investigated the role of Hsa-miR-7974 (miR-7974) in this process.

Track-MDP: Reinforcement Learning for Target Tracking with Controlled Sensing
State of the art methods for target tracking with sensor management (or controlled sensing) are model-based and are obtained through solutions to Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP) formulations. In this paper a Reinforcement Learning (RL) approach to the problem is explored for the setting where the motion model for the object/target ...

This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...

Rendez-Vous and Docking Position Tracking via Sliding Mode Control
This paper proposes a sliding mode strategy for the Chaser position tracking during the approaching maneuver to a passive vehicle (Target). The presented sliding mode control procedure considers different phases of the approaching maneuver, which are ...
