A platoon based model for urban traffic networks: identification, modeling and distributed control [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Urban traffic control poses a challenging problem in terms of coordinating the different traffic lights that can be used in order to influence the traffic flow.

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

Air Traffic Complexity Analysis in Multi-Airport Terminal Areas Based on Route Segment–Flight State Interdependent Network

open access: yesAerospace
An analysis of air traffic complexity in multi-airport terminal areas can assist air traffic controllers in accurately assessing the air traffic situation and collaboratively managing air traffic flows, thereby enhancing the utilization of airspace ...

Optimal Sensor Deployment and Velocity Configuration With Hybrid TDOA and FDOA Measurements

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Source localization based on the hybrid time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA) and frequency-difference-of-arrival (FDOA) measurements from distributed sensors is an essential problem in wireless sensor networks (WSNs).

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Research on UAV Conflict Detection and Resolution Based on Tensor Operation and Improved Differential Evolution Algorithm

open access: yesAerospace
With the widespread application of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in civilian and military fields, how to effectively detect and resolve conflicts of large-volume and high-density UAV flights in local airspace has become an important issue.

APPLICATION OF FUZZY LOGIC TO TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL UNDER MIXED TRAFFIC CONDITIONS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Traffic signal control is commonly used at road intersections to minimise vehicular delay. Fixed time control shows good results in conditions where there is a little fluctuation in traffic demand, however in time-varying traffic

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
