Semantic Segmentation of Grey-Scale Traffic Scenes

2019
In this paper we propose a novel architecture called KDNet that takes into account both spatial and temporal features for traffic scene labelling. One advantage of convolutional networks is the ability to yield hierarchical features that has been proved to bring high-quality result for scene labelling problem.

Traffic Engineering in Segment Routing using MILP

ICC 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2019
For a given network topology and traffic matrix, we study the problem of finding a set of K-segment paths to carry all the traffic such that the maximum link utilization is minimized. A K-segment path is a path that can be identified by no more than K segment identifiers (SIDs). A SID can be either a node-SID or an adjacency-SID.

Automatic segmentation of traffic noise

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2008
The state of the art in audio source separation reflects a growing interest towards developing tools oriented to speech and music applications. However, its application to the study of noise, and more specifically to the study of traffic noise, is scarce.

An Effective Method for Traffic Signs Segmentation

2009 International Conference on Intelligent Human-Machine Systems and Cybernetics, 2009
An effective method for traffic sign segmentation is proposed. Through the selection of appropriate characteristic operator on the basis of the distinctive color features of traffic sign, it first quickly obtains gray image of chromatic aberration.

Segmentation of Traffic Images for Automatic Car Driving

2003
This paper addresses the automatic analysis and segmentation of real-life traffic images aimed at providing the necessary and sufficient information for automatic car driving. The paper focuses on the basic task of segmenting the lane boundaries. As the general objective is to build a very robust segmentation module, able to cope with any kind of road ...

Air Traffic Performance by Market Segments

2007
How is air traffic performance affected by type and location of markets? Is there any pattern to how air traffic performs with respect to the size and structure of markets, type of networks, and size of aircraft? In this paper, an empirical framework has been developed to examine the determinants of air traffic performance.

Optimized network traffic engineering using segment routing

2015 IEEE Conference on Computer Communications (INFOCOM), 2015
Segment Routing is a proposed IETF protocol to improve traffic engineering and online route selection in IP networks. The key idea in segment routing is to break up the routing path into segments in order to enable better network utilization. Segment routing also enables finer control of the routing paths and can be used to route traffic through middle

Traffic assignment by paired alternative segments

Transportation Research Part B: Methodological, 2010
The static user-equilibrium (UE) traffic assignment model is widely used in practice. One main computational challenge in this model is to obtain sufficiently precise solutions suitable for scenario comparisons, as quickly as possible. An additional computational challenge stems from the need in practice to perform analyses based on route flows, which ...
