NETWORKS OF QUEUES FOR THE SIMULATION OF URBAN FLOW SYSTEMS: AN INTERMODAL TRAFFIC SYSTEM

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2004
In this paper we introduce a queueing network model, which can be used to simulate the behaviour of specific traffic systems in an urban context.

Delivery of Pleckstrin‐Homology Domains Suppresses PI3K/Akt Signaling and Breast Cancer Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current therapies curb tumor growth but not metastasis. Obscurin, a giant metastasis suppressor lost in breast cancer, restrains PI3K/Akt signaling but is impractical to restore. We deploy a mini‐obscurin, comprising the obscurin‐PH‐domain, which sequesters PI3K‐p85, potently suppressing invasion and metastasis.

SIMULATION STUDY OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN BIDIRECTIONAL TRAFFIC MODELS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics C, 2010
Conditions for the occurrence of bidirectional collisions are developed based on the Simon–Gutowitz bidirectional traffic model. Three types of dangerous situations can occur in this model. We analyze those corresponding to head-on collision; rear-end collision and lane-changing collision.

Dual‐Responsive Dynamic Covalent Bond‐Based Assembly of Lipid‐Nanozyme Systems via Multi‐Target Synergy and Efficient Target Enrichment for Ischemic Stroke Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This system adopts a biomimetic phospholipid structure, covalently binding iNOS inhibitors, neuroprotective agent PCA and vitamin E derivatives through pH/ROS dual‐responsive bonds, and assembles them with Prussian blue nanozyme to form PBB@AHA. It can efficiently penetrate the blood‐brain barrier and simultaneously release multiple active components ...

From traffic conflict simulation to traffic crash simulation: Introducing traffic safety indicators based on the explicit simulation of potential driver errors

open access: yesSimulation Modelling Practice and Theory, 2019
This paper introduces a general simulation framework that can allow the simulation of crashes and the evaluation of consequences on existing microsimulation packages. A specific family of simple and reproducible conflict indicators is proposed and applied to many case studies.

O‐GlcNAcylated TAP1 Impairs Antigen Presentation and Promotes Immune Evasion in Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article unveils a critical mechanism of immune evasion in bladder cancer, which the O‐GlcNAc modification of TAP1 disrupts antigen presentation. This modification triggers HLA‐A degradation, shielding tumor cells from CD8+ T cell attack. The findings highlight targeting this pathway as a promising therapeutic avenue to sensitize tumors to ...

SYMBIOTIC TRAFFIC SIMULATION FRAMEWORK [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Real time data from several traffic participants such as smart-phone users and vehicles equipped with GPS devices (taxi and bus fleets) is potentially available in the form of a continuous data stream in several mega cities. This real time data can be augmented with that from the traditional sensors for the implementation of several advanced traffic ...
