Antioxidative, antifungal, cytotoxic and antineurodegenerative activity of selected Trametes species from Serbia. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
In a last few decades mushrooms are increasingly attracting attention as functional food and sources of biologically active compounds. Several Trametes species have been used for centuries in traditional medicine of East Asia cultures, but only T ...

Comprehensive Evaluation of the Anti‐Inflammatory Activity of Ling‐Zhi‐8 (LZ‐8) In Vitro and a Rheumatoid Arthritis Animal Model

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
LZ‐8 reduced IL‐6 and COX‐2 in LPS‐stimulated macrophages, partly by inhibiting MyD88‐mediated JNK‐MAPK signaling. LZ‐8 reduced inflammation and swelling in the ankle and palm of the feet in the animal model. High‐dose LZ‐8 reduced synovial hyperplasia, and all doses protected articular cartilage.

Stereoselective Chemoenzymatic Synthesis Metaraminol Involving Gold‐Catalysed Alkyne Hydration and Carbonyl Biotransamination

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 16, 25 April 2026.
A chemoenzymatic synthesis of (1R,2S)‐metaraminol was developed by combining gold(I)‐catalysed alkyne hydration and stereoselective biotransamination in a sequential one‐pot process. Various phenol protection strategies were considered in oxidation‐reduction sequences, providing access to enantiopure propargylic alcohols as starting materials for ...

Characterization of the factors that influence sinapine concentration in rapeseed meal during fermentation. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
We analyzed and compared the difference in sinapine concentration in rapeseed meal between the filamentous fungus, Trametes sp 48424, and the yeast, Saccharomyces cerevisiae, in both liquid and solid-state fermentation.

Molecular phylogeny of Trametes and related genera, and description of a new genus Leiotrametes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
A phylogenetic analysis of and related taxa is proposed, based on a wide sampling of temperate and tropical species. Concatenate sequences of ribosomal DNA (ITS1-5.8S-ITS2) and RPB2 gene from mycelia cultures were analyzed by Maximum Likelihood and ...

Chemo‐Enzymatic Route for Covalent Cellulose Fiber Dyeing

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 14, 15 April 2026.
This work presents a proof of concept for a chemo‐enzymatic approach to the covalent dyeing of cotton fibers. Laccase/TEMPO oxidation introduces aldehyde groups, enabling subsequent reductive amination with amino dyes. Excellent color homogeneity and wash fastness were demonstrated using acid red 33, highlighting the robustness of the approach and its ...

Growth of Trametes versicolor on phenol

open access: yesJournal of Industrial Microbiology & Biotechnology, 2008
Trametes versicolor 1 was shown to grow on phenol as its sole carbon and energy source. The culture growth and degradation ability dependence on culture medium pH value was observed. The optimal pH value of a liquid Czapek salt medium was 6.5. The investigated strain utilized completely 0.5 g/l phenol in 6 days.
