RBFNN-Based Adaptive Fixed-Time Sliding Mode Tracking Control for Coaxial Hybrid Aerial–Underwater Vehicles Under Multivariant Ocean Disturbances

open access: yesDrones
In this study, the design of an adaptive neural network-based fixed-time control system for a novel coaxial trans-domain hybrid aerial–underwater vehicle (HAUV) is investigated.

An Optimization Framework for Comparative Analysis of Multiple Vehicle Powertrains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
With a myriad of alternative vehicle powertrain architectures emerging in the industry, such as electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles, it is beneficial that the most appropriate system is chosen for the desired vehicle class and duty cycle, and ...

VlPAG/DRN Microglia Drive Neuropathic Pain‐Induced Depression via a Defined Neuroimmune Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Peripheral nerve injury (SNI) induces neuropathic pain, activates midbrain microglia, and triggers an NLRP3–IL‐1β–dependent inflammatory cascade. IL‐1β signals through IL‐1R1 on vlPAG/DRN VGLUT2+ neurons (vlPAG/DRNGlu), inducing hyperexcitability and driving the vlPAG/DRNGlu→BNSTGABA circuit to produce the affective component of neuropathic pain ...

Dual‐Organelle Secretome Conjugation and Organ‐Uptake Tracking (DuO‐SCOUT) Enables Deep and Sensitive Mapping of the Secreted Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel dual‐organelle proximity labeling platform, DuO‐SCOUT, decodes the complex landscape of systemic organ‐organ communication by capturing both classical and unconventional secretomes. Application in metabolic models maps the adipose‐to‐brain secretory relay, identifying selective extra‐hypothalamic sites for adipose‐derived factors and expanding ...

SerpinA3 is an Endogenous TGF‐β Receptor Antagonist that Attenuates Cardiac Fibroblast Activation and Fibrotic Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SerpinA3 acts as an endogenous TGF‐β receptor antagonist that binds to the extracellular domain of TGFR‐1, thereby preventing TGFR‐1–TGFR‐2 complex formation. This receptor‐level blockade suppresses TGF‐β/Smad2/3 signaling, attenuates cardiac fibroblast activation, and extracellular matrix deposition, and ultimately alleviates pressure overload–induced

Restoration of m6A‐Modified circPSMB1 Suppresses Chordoma Progression and Enables Local Nanotherapeutic Intervention

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An m6A‐modified circRNA, circPSMB1, is identified as a tumor suppressor in chordoma. METTL3‐dependent m6A promotes circPSMB1 interaction with HNRNPA2B1, limiting c‐MYC expression and malignant progression. An injectable HMnO2‐based nanohydrogel enables local circPSMB1 delivery and tumor microenvironment‐responsive therapy, offering a promising strategy

Microtubule destabilization with colchicine increases the work output of myocardial slices

open access: yesJournal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology Plus
Cardiac microtubules have recently been implicated in mechanical dysfunction during heart failure. However, systemic intolerance and non-cardiac effects of microtubule-depolymerizing compounds have made it challenging to determine the effect of ...

Numerical investigation on the early-stage high-speed water entry of trans-media vehicle with spike

open access: yes
Compared with low-speed water entry, high-speed water entry involves stronger impact loads and more complex multiphase flow phenomena. Accurate prediction of flowfield evolution and impact load is therefore essential for the development of trans-media ...

Natural Product Toosendanin Suppresses the Malignant Development of Skin Melanoma by Targeting BNC2 for Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
BNC2 exhibits context‐dependent opposing functions across multiple cancer types. This study reveals BNC2 as an oncogenic driver of melanoma proliferation and metastasis through transcriptional activation of PIK3CA. The natural compound TSN simultaneously degrades BNC2 and its oncogenic partner SMAD3 via CRBN‐dependent ubiquitination.
