Synthesis of Telechelic‐Type Polypeptides Functionalized with Aromatic Units and the Characterization of Their Structures and Thermal Properties

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Polypeptide chains were extended from both ends of aromatic diamines by chemoenzymatic polymerization, resulting in the synthesis of telechelic polyglycines (TPG) and polyalanines (TPA). These telechelic polymers assembled into branched nanofibrils through π‐π stacking of aromatic rings, with the polymer backbones bent at the aromatic unit.

From experiencing biodiversity to action: How significant life experiences shape values and inspire bird conservation engagement

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Problem and aim: Bird biodiversity loss is a pressing global challenge that requires behavioural engagement, yet the motivational pathways leading to active bird conservation remain underexplored. This study investigates how significant life experiences (SLEs) and environmental values (biospheric, altruistic, hedonistic, egoistic) shape ...

Quantum wells, wires and dots with finite barrier: analytical expressions for the bound states

open access: yes, 2002
From a careful study of the transcendental equations fulfilled by the bound state energies of a free particle in a quantum well, cylindrical wire or spherical dot with finite potential barrier, we have derived analytical expressions of these energies ...

Urban adults' engagement in nature education and its interplay with everyday lived experiences: A case study from Shenzhen, China

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Currently, scholarship on education to foster connectedness with nature primarily focuses on children.
