Adjustable mount for electro-optic transducers in an evacuated cryogenic system [PDF]
The invention is an adjustable mount for positioning an electro-optic transducer in an evacuated cryogenic environment. Electro-optic transducers are used in this manner as high sensitivity detectors of gas emission lines of spectroscopic analysis.

Unraveling LINE‐1 retrotransposition in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma
The novel RetroTest method allows the detection of L1 activation in clinical samples with low DNA input, providing global L1 activity and the identification of the L1 source element. We applied RetroTest to a real‐world cohort of HNSCC patients where we reported an early L1 activation, with more than 60% of T1 patients showing L1 activity.

Multifunctional transducer [PDF]
Several parameters of a small region of a muscle tissue or other object, can be simultaneously measured using with minimal traumatizing or damage of the object, a trifunctional transducer which can determine the force applied by a muscle fiber, the ...

Overexpression of CHRDL2 in colon cancer cells makes them more stem‐like and resistant to chemo‐ and radiotherapy. CHRDL2‐high cells have upregulation of the WNT pathway, genes involved in the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). This leads to quicker repair of damaged DNA and more cell migration.

Sequences, Datalog, and Transducers
AbstractThis paper develops a query language for sequence databases, such as genome databases and text databases. The language, calledSequence Datalog, extends classical Datalog with interpreted function symbols for manipulating sequences. It has both a clear operational and declarative semantics, based on a new notion called theextended active ...

TRIM24 and TRIM28 are androgen receptor (AR) coregulators which exhibit increased expression with cancer progression. Both TRIM24 and TRIM28 combine to influence the response of castrate‐resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) cells to AR inhibitors by mediating AR signalling, regulation of MYC and upregulating VEGF to promote angiogenesis. Castrate‐resistant

Coalgebraising Subsequential Transducers
AbstractSubsequential transducers generalise both classic deterministic automata and Mealy/Moore type state machines by combining (input) language recognition with transduction. In this paper we show that normalisation and taking differentials of subsequential transducers and their underlying structures can be seen as coalgebraisation.

Transducing the Hedgehog Signal [PDF]
Regardless of the status of Smo/Ptc associations, we now have to consider which, if any, of the newly found responses of Smo to Hh actually determine Smo signaling activity. As there really are no definitive data to guide us here, I will take the opportunity to discuss some possibilities.
