Factorizations of Transfer Functions
SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1980This paper is concerned with minimal factorizations of rational matrix functions. The treatment is based on a new geometrical principle. In fact, it is shown that there is a one-to-one correspondence between minimal factorizations on the one hand and certain projections on the other.

Abstract Leucocytes obtained from a donor sensitive to Candida antigen contain a factor (transfer factor) which transfers this sensitivity to non-sensitive recipients. This material is present in the dialysate of leucocyte lysates and can be purified therefrom by gel filtration. This immunologically active component of transfer factor seems to be more

Transfer Learning in Natural Language Processing
North American Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics, 2019The classic supervised machine learning paradigm is based on learning in isolation, a single predictive model for a task using a single dataset. This approach requires a large number of training examples and performs best for well-defined and narrow ...

Transfer Factor in Atopic Dermatitis
Dermatology, 1982Dialyzable leukocyte extract (transfer factor, TF) from unselected healthy blood donors was given every other week during 1 year to adult patients with severe atopic dermatitis. The results from this double-blind investigation did not reveal any clinical benefit of TF therapy.

Cell-mediated immunity (CMI) plays an important role in controlling the proliferation of tumor cells. Since transfer factor (TF) is reportedly able to increase CMI, it was tempting to plan clinical trials whereby transfer factor could be used to increase cancer patients’ cellular immune response to their tumor cells.

A workshop on transfer factor, sponsored by the Immunology, Allergic and Immunologic Diseases Program of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, National Institutes of Health, was held in Bethesda, Maryland, on February 25, 1981. The purpose of the meeting was two-fold: (1) to review the state of the art of transfer factor and (2) to

Immunotherapy With Transfer Factor
JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1977Several years ago, H. Sherwood Lawrence, MD, reported that it was possible to transfer delayed-type skin reactivity from sensitive human donors to unreactive recipients, with materials from disrupted blood leukocytes. This finding was in sharp contrast to the previous observations in guinea pigs in which there was an obligatory requirement for living ...
