Multiparameters of heart rate variability predict symptomatic hemorrhagic transformation in patients following mechanical thrombectomy

open access: yesBMC Neurology
Background Hemorrhagic transformation (HT), especially symptomatic HT (sHT), seriously affects the functional prognosis in patients following mechanical thrombectomy (MT).

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.

A comparison of alternative approaches to sup-norm goodness of fit tests with estimated parameters [PDF]

open access: yes
Goodness of fit tests based on sup-norm statistics of empirical processes have nonstandard limiting distributions when the null hypothesis is composite-that is, when parameters of the null model are estimated.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

On the Correct Determination of Transformation Parameters of Horizontal Geodetic

open access: yes, 2020
In this contribution we formulate and solve the problem of determining transformation parameters in the transformation between a geodetic coordinate system (G-System) and the Conventional Terrestrial (geocentric) coordinate system (CT-system), or ...

Effect of printing process parameters on the shape transformation capability of 3D printed structures

open access: yes, 2021
The aim of our research was to investigate and optimise the main 3D printing process parameters that directly or indirectly affect the shape transformation capability and to determine the optimal transformation conditions to achieve predicted extent, and

COORDINATE TRANSFORMATION USING THE LEAST SQUARES METHOD: A CASE STUDY ON TRABZON, TURKEY [PDF]

open access: yesGeodetski Glasnik
The ED50 datum uses the Hayford ellipsoid and the Greenwich meridian as the prime meridian. In Turkey, the ED50 datum with the Hayford ellipsoid was used until 2001, after which the ITRF datum with the GRS80 ellipsoid became the standard.

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

Transformation of Rhizoctonia solani

open access: yes, 2003
The aim of this study was to develop a genetic transformation system for the plant pathogenic fungus Rhizoctonia solani (teliomorph, Thanatephprus cucumeris Frank [Donk]). The availability of a transformation system would allow us to study gene exchange,
