Detail Explanation of Coordinate Transformation Procedures Used in Geodesy and Geoinformatics on the Example of the Territory of the Republic of Croatia

open access: yesApplied Sciences
With strong technology improvement, especially GNSS, coordinate transformation has become an essential tool in everyday practice. For this reason, it is beneficial to have a good understanding of the mathematical process of coordinate transformation, as ...

A Proposal of a Renormalization Group Transformation for Lattice Field Theories [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
We propose a new Real Space Renormalization Group transformation useful for Monte Carlo calculations in theories with global or local symmetries. From relaxation arguments we define the block-spin transformation with two tunable free parameters, adapted ...

Deterministic Superreplication of One-Parameter Unitary Transformations [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2015
We show that one can deterministically generate out of $N$ copies of an unknown unitary operation up to $N^2$ almost perfect copies. The result holds for all operations generated by a Hamiltonian with an unknown interaction strength. This generalizes a similar result in the context of phase covariant cloning where, however, super-replication comes at ...

Nonlinear Models by Parameters and their Transformation

open access: yesInnovative Journal of Mathematics (IJM), 2022
The development of nonlinear models is presented as a need to carry out various researches which cannot be achieved through linear models. Some of the concepts that will be elaborated are the meaning of nonlinear regression, the general form of nonlinear models, the separation of nonlinear models and some applications of nonlinear models through SPSS ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Hyperelastic cloaking theory: Transformation elasticity with pre-stressed solids

open access: yes, 2012
Transformation elasticity, by analogy with transformation acoustics and optics, converts material domains without altering wave properties, thereby enabling cloaking and related effects.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

A note on a hypergeometric transformation formula due to Slater with an application [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this note we state (with minor corrections) and give an alternative proof of a very general hypergeometric transformation formula due to Slater. As an application, we obtain a new hypergeometric transformation formula for a 5F4(−1) series with one ...

Design method for quasi-isotropic transformation materials based on inverse Laplace's equation with sliding boundaries

open access: yes, 2010
The deformation method of transformation optics has been demonstrated to be a useful tool, especially in designing arbitrary and nonsingular transformation materials.
