COMPUTER SIMULATION OF A SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSFORMER SHORT-CIRCUIT

open access: yesInformatyka, Automatyka, Pomiary w Gospodarce i Ochronie Środowiska
High critical temperature superconductor power devices have unique characteristics that reduce energy losses during transmission and distribution of electricity. These superconductors allow for high current density, enabling the construction of smaller,

Circuit for automatic load sharing in parallel converter modules [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
A nondissipative circuit for automatic load sharing in parallel converter modules having push-pull power transistors is presented. Each transistor has a separate current-sensing transformer and an impedance-adjusting transformer in series with its ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Design of Planar Transformer with DC Bus Converter for Airplane

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2017
In consideration of the fact that 4 kW DC bus converter on airplane has large output current and the secondary winding of its transformer needs in parallel to bear high current, it designed a planner transformer.

Localization of Dual Partial Discharge in Transformer Windings Using Fabry–Pérot Optical Fiber Sensor Array

open access: yesEnergies
The power transformer is one of the most critical core devices for energy exchange in power systems, and its safe and stable operation is directly related to the reliability of the power grid. Partial discharge is the main cause of insulation degradation

Induced Voltages Ratio-Based Algorithm for Fault Detection, and Faulted Phase and Winding Identification of a Three-Winding Power Transformer

open access: yesEnergies, 2014
This paper proposes an algorithm for fault detection, faulted phase and winding identification of a three-winding power transformer based on the induced voltages in the electrical power system.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Fabrication of graphene-based resistive sensor for eschericia coli bacteria sensing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The presence of fecal coliform bacteria like Escherichia coli (E. coli) in aquatic environments indicates that the water has been contaminated with the fecal material of human or animals. The risk of health threatening to humans become high when E.

Winding temperature prediction in split-winding traction transformer

open access: yesTURKISH JOURNAL OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING & COMPUTER SCIENCES, 2016
Incombustible features of resin make multiwinding dry-type transformers suitable for use in traction systems. Nevertheless, due to resin's heat transfer property and the special structure of traction transformers, temperature distribution in traction transformers is undesirable and it is essential to study its thermal behavior.
