PSMD14 Stabilizes SLC7A11 to Ameliorate Glucocorticoid‐Induced Osteoporosis by Suppressing Osteocyte Ferroptosis

Glucocorticoid‐induced osteoporosis (GIOP) triggers osteocyte ferroptosis via SLC7A11 degradation. PSMD14 stabilizes SLC7A11 by counteracting glucocorticoid‐driven ubiquitination, preserving cystine uptake and glutathione synthesis. AAV‐mediated PSMD14 delivery or its agonist Pantethine rescues osteocyte survival and bone loss in GIOP mice.

Listerin Alleviates Alzheimer's Disease through IRE1‐mediated Decay of TLR4 mRNA

Alzheimer's disease (AD) progression is influenced by microglia‐mediated neuroinflammation. Here, it is demonstrated that Listerin suppresses neuroinflammatory signaling and cognitive impairment in AD models by triggering IRE1α‐mediated TLR4 mRNA decay. Adenoviral Listerin delivery reduces amyloid‐β pathology, positioning it as a new therapeutic target.

Activation of Lysosomal Retrograde Transport Triggers TPC1‐IP3R1 Ca2+ Crosstalk at Lysosome‐ER MCSs Leading to Lethal Depleting of ER Calcium

The flavonoid compound LW‐213 exerts its antitumor effects through a novel mechanism involving lysosomal‐ER calcium regulation. Specifically, LW‐213 binds to LIMP2, which induces perinuclear clustering of lysosomes and facilitates calcium‐mediated lysosome‐ER interactions.

Draft genome sequences for Schistosoma japonicum and Schistosoma mansoni are now available. The schistosome genome encodes approximately 13,000 protein encoding genes for which the function of only a small minority is understood. The new genes represent potential intervention targets.
