Vibrational control of nonlinear systems: Vibrational controllability and transient behavior
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1986In the first part of this work [the authors, ibid. 710-716 (1986; Zbl 0611.93054)], the criteria for the existence of stabilizing parametric oscillations have been derived. In the present paper, the problem of choosing the stabilizing vibrations is addressed and the properties of transient behavior of vibrationally controlled nonlinear systems are ...

Transient analysis of a vibrating reed
Journal of Polymer Science Part A: General Papers, 1963AbstractA new simplified test for obtaining the physical properties of a viscoelastic material is described and analyzed. A reed, clamped at one end, is displaced at the free end and the damped oscillations measured. From measurements of the damping factor and frequency the complex modulus is computed.

Transient vibrations of an isotropic elastic sphere
pure and applied geophysics, 1972An attempt is made to study the dynamic response of a thick, homogeneous isotropic elastic sphere under the action of uniformly distributed internal and external pressure distributions which vary sinusoidally with time. An exact solution of the problem is obtained with the aid of the Laplace transform method and the theory of residues.

Transient Vibration Analysis of Impact Ripper
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014In view of the vibration problem of impact ripper working under the excitation force of hydraulic ripper, finite element method is adopted for transition analysis of the structure. The impact ripper operating process is divided into two stages. Analyze the producing process of main vibration source for the structure.

Transient Vibrations of Nonlinear Systems: Global Dynamics and Chaotic Transients
14th Biennial Conference on Mechanical Vibration and Noise: Dynamics and Vibration of Time-Varying Systems and Structures, 1993Abstract In this paper a new approach in the global transient analysis of nonlinear systems is presented; it has the advantages of being conceptually simpler and at the same time more relevant than one based soley on a stability analysis of the steady-state motions.

Transient Vibration of the Mechanical Constructions
1997In the paper the mathematical model of 3-D mechanical construction which is in the vibration state of the forced vibrations with damping had been shown. Due the impact impulse on the construction the transient vibrations has been occured. The mathematical model has been solved by using the finite elements method in the program package I-DEAS.

On the Graphical Solution of Transient Vibration Problems
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, 1954Phase-plane methods have been used with great success in the theory of non-linear mechanics. They have also been applied to a different class of problems; viz. to dynamical systems with transient loading. The paper concerns this second use of the plane and some recent extensions of it.
