Non-stationary Magnetic Microstructures in Stellar Thin Accretion Discs
We examine the morphology of magnetic structures in thin plasma accretion discs, generalizing a stationary ideal MHD model to the time-dependent visco-resistive case.

Space charge limited release of charged inverse micelles in non-polar liquids [PDF]
Charged inverse micelles (CIMs) generated during a continuous polarizing voltage between electrodes in the model system of polyisobutylene succinimide in dodecane do not populate a diffuse double layer like CIMs present in equilibrium (regular CIMs), but

Abstract As a new development direction of the domestic medium voltage distribution network, the flexible grounding method has a rapid expansion trend, and accordingly, the ground fault protection scheme needs to follow up quickly. This paper calculates and analyzes the distribution characteristics of transient electric quantities in the

Switching of chiral magnetic skyrmions by picosecond magnetic field pulses via transient topological states [PDF]
Magnetic chiral skyrmions are vortex like spin structures that appear as stable or meta-stable states in magnetic materials due to the interplay between the symmetric and antisymmetric exchange interactions, applied magnetic field and/or uniaxial ...

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Spike detection using the continuous wavelet transform [PDF]
This paper combines wavelet transforms with basic detection theory to develop a new unsupervised method for robustly detecting and localizing spikes in noisy neural recordings.

This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

A study of donor electron spins and spin--dependent electronic transitions involving phosphorous ($^{31}$P) atoms in proximity of the (111) oriented crystalline silicon (c-Si) to silicon dioxide (SiO$_{2}$) interface is presented for [$^{31}$P] = 10$^{15}

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.
