Dark energy problem: from phantom theory to modified Gauss-Bonnet gravity

open access: yes, 2005
The solution of dark energy problem in the models without scalars is presented. It is shown that late-time accelerating cosmology may be generated by the ideal fluid with some implicit equation of state.

Thermodynamics for two flavor QCD [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We conclude our analysis of the N_t=6 equation of state for two flavor QCD, first described at last year's conference. We have obtained new runs at am_q=0.025 and improved runs at am_q=0.0125.

Nuclear Inelastic X-Ray Scattering of FeO to 48 GPa

open access: yes, 2001
The partial density of vibrational states has been measured for Fe in compressed FeO (w\"ustite) using nuclear resonant inelastic x-ray scattering. Substantial changes have been observed in the overall shape of the density of states close to the magnetic

The rise and fall of green growth: Korea's energy sector experiment and its lessons for sustainable energy policy

open access: yesWIREs Energy and Environment, Volume 8, Issue 4, July/August 2019., 2019
Performance of the Korea Green Energy Growth Initiative against 2030 targets. The idea of “green growth” has received international attention for more than a decade as a promising solution to a distinctly modern problem: a century of unparalleled increases in wealth based on equally unparalleled innovations in energy technology accompanied by global ...

Measurement of the Blackbody Radiation Shift of the 133Cs Hyperfine Transition in an Atomic Fountain

open access: yes, 2003
We used a Cs atomic fountain frequency standard to measure the Stark shift on the ground state hyperfine transiton frequency in cesium (9.2 GHz) due to the electric field generated by the blackbody radiation. The measures relative shift at 300 K is -1.43(

Route‐Based Signal Preemption Control of Emergency Vehicle

open access: yesJournal of Control Science and Engineering, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
This paper focuses on the signal preemption control of emergency vehicles (EV). A signal preemption control method based on route is proposed to reduce time delay of EV at intersections. According to the time at which EV is detected and the current phase of each intersection on the travelling route of EV, the calculation methods of the earliest start ...

A Novel Torque Coordination Control Strategy of a Single‐Shaft Parallel Hybrid Electric Vehicle Based on Model Predictive Control

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
The torque coordination control during mode transition is a very important task for hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) with a clutch serving as the key enabling actuator element. Poor coordination will deteriorate the drivability of the driver and lead to excessive wearing to the clutch friction plates.

Equilibrium Point Bifurcation and Singularity Analysis of HH Model with Constraint

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
We present the equilibrium point bifurcation and singularity analysis of HH model with constraints. We investigate the effect of constraints and parameters on the type of equilibrium point bifurcation. HH model with constraints has more transition sets.

Dissipation-induced first-order decoherence phase transition in a non-interacting fermionic system

open access: yes, 2014
We consider a dissipative tight-binding chain. The dissipation manifests as tunneling into/out of the chain from/to a memoryless environment. The evolution of the system is described by the Lindblad equation.

Enhanced Emitting Dipole Orientation Based on Asymmetric Iridium(III) Complexes for Efficient Saturated‐Blue Phosphorescent OLEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 11, Issue 38, October 16, 2024.
Bulky and electron‐donating substituents on the asymmetric Ir(III) complexes have greatly improved the emitting dipole orientation (EDO) and their blue OLED devices have CIE(x,y) color coordinates of (0.140, 0.148) and high external quantum efficiency of 30.7%.
