Lattice Instability in the Spin-Ladder System under Magnetic Field

open access: yes, 1998
We study theoretically the lattice instability in the spin gap systems under magnetic field. With the magnetic field larger than a critical value h_{c1}, the spin gap is collapsed and the magnetization arises.

Nuclear Multifragmentation in the Non-extensive Statistics - Canonical Formulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We apply the canonical quantum statistical model of nuclear multifragmentation generalized in the framework of recently proposed Tsallis non-extensive thermostatistics for the description of nuclear multifragmentation process. The test calculation in the

Carer Perspectives About the Acceptability and Usability of the TRANSITION Tool to Support Preparation for Older Adult Care Transitions: A Qualitative Study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Older People Nursing, Volume 19, Issue 5, September 2024.
ABSTRACT Introduction Transitional care of older adults can be highly stressful for informal carers (carers) particularly when they are not involved in preparation and planning with health practitioners. This study aimed to ascertain carer perspectives about the potential acceptability and usability of a tool entitled the TRANSITION tool to support ...

Crystallization in mass-asymmetric electron-hole bilayers

open access: yes, 2006
We consider a \textit{mass-asymmetric} electron and hole bilayer. Electron and hole Coulomb correlations and electron and hole quantum effects are treated on first princles by path integral Monte Carlo methods.

Modelling the Binding of Cytotoxic Dinuclear Copper Complexes to two Neighboring Phosphate Esters of DNA Using Glutarate: A Tetranuclear Metallo‐Macrocycle vs a Dinuclear Model

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 650, Issue 4, February 16, 2024.
Abstract A family of dinuclear complexes was rationally designed to bind to two neighboring phosphate diesters of DNA by molecular recognition. Although these complexes bind strongly and irreversibly to DNA and induce apoptosis in cancer cells, a direct proof of the intended binding mode is missing.

Disordered Eating and Exercise Behaviors During University Transition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Disordered eating and exercise behaviors are far from uncommon on university campuses, and those attending university are at an increased risk of developing eating disorders.

Charge order and superconductivity in a two-dimensional triangular lattice at n=2/3 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
To investigate the possibility of charge order and superconductivity in a doped two-dimensional triangular lattice, we study the extended Hubbard model with variational Monte Carlo method.

Phase Structure of Hot and/or Dense QCD in the Schwinger-Dyson Approach

open access: yes, 2004
We investigate the phase structure of hot and/or dense QCD with massless 2-flavors using the Schwinger-Dyson equation (SDE) with the improved ladder approximation in the Landau gauge.

THE INVESTIGATION OF THE BASIC SOCIAL–PSYCHOLOGICAL PREREQUISITES OF A SUCCESSGUL BUSINESSMAN IN THE TRANSITONAL SOCIETY

open access: yesMain Issues Of Pedagogy And Psychology, 2014
The article investigates the basic social–psychological prerequisites of a successful businessman in the transitional society. The social–economical, psychological, typical changes existing in the transitional society are described in the article. Due to some researches the authors discover the unique set of a productive businessman’s personality ...

Quantum molecular dynamics simulations for the nonmetal-to-metal transition in fluid helium [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We have performed quantum molecular dynamics simulations for dense helium to study the nonmetal-to-metal transition at high pressures. We present new results for the equation of state and the Hugoniot curve in the warm dense matter region.
