Bond strength between MDP-based cement and translucent zirconia

open access: yesDental Materials Journal, 2019
The purpose was to evaluate the bond strength between adhesive cement and translucent zirconia in comparison to conventional zirconia. Four brands of translucent zirconia (BruxZir® HT, Lava™ Plus, Prettau® Anterior, and Prettau® Zirconia) and one conventional zirconia (Kavo Everest® ZS) were evaluated.

The effect of coffee thermocycling and color correction serum on the colorimetric properties and hardness of CAD‐CAM restorative materials

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, Volume 35, Issue 3, Page 343-351, March 2026.
Abstract Purpose To compare the stainability, translucency, opalescence, whiteness, gloss, and hardness of 4 computer‐aided design and computer‐aided manufacturing (CAD‐CAM) restorative materials after simulated coffee drinking and color correction. Materials and Methods Four CAD‐CAM blocks were investigated (n = 40): resin nanoceramic (Cerasmart, CS),

Translucency of monolithic and core zirconia after hydrothermal aging

open access: yesActa Biomaterialia Odontologica Scandinavica, 2015
Objective: To evaluate the hydrothermal aging effect on the translucency of partially stabilized tetragonal zirconia with yttria (Y-TZP) used as monolithic or fully milled zirconia and of core type. Methods: Twenty disc-shaped specimens (1 and 10 mm) for each type of monolithic and core Y-TZP materials were milled and sintered according to the ...

Evaluation of Extra-High Translucent Dental Zirconia: Translucency, Crystalline Phase, Mechanical Properties, and Microstructures

open access: yesJournal of Functional Biomaterials
Highly translucent zirconia (TZ) is frequently used in dentistry. The properties of several highly translucent zirconia materials available in the market require an in-depth understanding. In this study, we assessed the translucency, crystalline phase, mechanical properties, and microstructures of three newly developed highly translucent zirconia ...

Translucent zirconia: composition, structure, properties and applications

open access: yes, 2021
