Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Development and Research of Ion Optics Digital Simulation System for EI Source
The ion optical system is an important component of electron impact (EI) ion source, which uses electrostatic lens to extract ions in the ion chamber, further focus, accelerate and shape, and regulate the speed and energy of the ion beam. The performance

Research on four-coil structure of magnetically coupled resonant wireless power transmission system
For the position of four coils of traditional four-coil magnetically coupled resonant wireless power transmission system is relatively fixed and cannot be changed at will, which leads to limitation of its use, a new four-coil structure was proposed ...

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Efficient algorithms for optimal video transmission [PDF]
This paper addresses the problem of sending an MPEG-encoded video stream over a channel of limited bandwidth. When there is insufficient bandwidth available for the rate at which the sequence was encoded, some data must be dropped. In this paper we give fast algorithms to determine a prioritization of the data that optimizes the visual quality of the ...

α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.
