Differential Multiple-Length Transmit Diversity

IEEE Communications Letters, 2004
We propose a new bandwidth-efficient differential transmit diversity scheme as an extension of differential space-time block codes from orthogonal designs. The information is coded in both the difference of successive unit-length vectors and the length difference of successive transmit vectors.

Transmit diversity in LTE network

2013 21st Telecommunications Forum Telfor (TELFOR), 2013
This paper investigate the effect of transmit diversity in LTE downlink transmission. Transmit diversity scheme known as Space Frequency Block Codes (SFBC) is considered. As performances metrics, the average BER is evaluated in terms of signal to interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR).

An algorithm for generalized transmit diversity

GLOBECOM'01. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference (Cat. No.01CH37270), 2002
In this paper an algorithm for generalized transmit diversity is proposed. Depending on the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio maximization criterion full diversity (all available transmit antennas) or partial diversity (only subset of all available transmit antennas) is used and phase adjustment is applied between selected antennas.

Transmit diversity and transmit adaptive arrays for broadband mobile OFDM systems

2003 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking, 2003. WCNC 2003., 2005
This paper explores the performance of several frequency-domain transmit array processing strategies for broadband mobile turbo-coded OFDM systems. We consider transmit adaptive array (TXAA) techniques (also known as maximal ratio transmission) with various assumptions on mobile- to-base channel response feedback in a two-transmit antenna OFDM system ...

Transmit Diversity Based Interference Cancellation

VTC Spring 2008 - IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference, 2008
In this paper, we describe a transmit diversity technique for canceling partially-known interference. For a single interferer in a flat fading channel, the desired user transmitter transmits conjugated and time-reversed interferer symbols in two successive symbol periods (or subcarriers) along with one desired user symbol.

Closed-loop transmit diversity schemes for five and six transmit antennas

IEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2005
Closed-loop, rate-one, channel orthogonalized space-time block codes (CO-STBCs) for three and four transmit antennas using a single (real) phase feedback term have been proposed . These codes achieve full diversity and result in maximum likelihood (ML) decoding with only linear processing at the receiver similar to OSTBCs.

Transmit diversity for TDD systems

SPIE Proceedings, 2002
Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) communications have been a hot research area in recent years. Most literature makes the assumption that the channel information is not known at the transmitter but known perfectly at the receiver. We focus on the situation where both the transmitter and the receiver know the channel information.

Transmit diversity in mobile communications

14th International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications. MIKON - 2002. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat.No.02EX562), 2003
This paper shows the transmit diversity (TD) techniques in applications for communication systems. General classification of the TD techniques for both TDMA and CDMA systems is presented. Some very promising TD techniques are characterized, i.e. code division TD (CDTD) and the time division TD (TDTD).

Synchronization requirements for COFDM systems with transmit diversity

GLOBECOM '03. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37489), 2004
COFDM in combination with transmit and receive diversity is an attractive technique to increase robustness and throughput of wireless data transmission. In this paper we examine whether the sensitivity of COFDM to synchronization errors is further aggravated by these multiinput multioutput (MIMO) scenarios.

On transmit diversity with imperfect channel state information

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
The optimal transmission strategy of a multiple-input single-output wireless communication link is studied in which the receiver has full channel state information and the transmitter has only long-term channel state information in terms of the channel covariance matrix.
