Transmit Diversity for LTE PUCCH with Channel Selection

2011 IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Fall), 2011
In this paper, a framework for designing transmit diversity schemes for LTE PUCCH format 1b with channel selection is introduced. The design criterion is to utilize the same number of orthogonal resources as in the single transmit antenna mode while exploiting the full diversity order.

A dCDD-Based Transmit Diversity for NOMA Systems

ICC 2020 - 2020 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2020
In this paper, a new transmit diversity scheme for cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is proposed without perfect channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT). To support two users under a near-far user pairing constraint, a distributed cyclic delay diversity (dCDD) scheme is adjusted into NOMA by dividing a set of remote radio ...

Turbo processing in transmit antenna diversity systems

Annales Des Télécommunications, 2001
We consider turbo-trellis-coded transmission over fading multiple-input-multiple-output (M1M0) channels with transmit diversity using space-time block codes. We give a new view on space-time block codes as a transformation of the fading MIMO channel towards a Gaussian single-input-single-output (siso) channel and provide analytical results on the BER ...

An adaptive technique for transmit antenna diversity with feedback

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2002
Transmit antenna diversity (TAD) has been employed for third-generation wireless systems. We propose an adaptive technique for TAD with feedback. It is shown that the proposed adaptive technique can efficiently increase the number of transmit antennas without significantly increasing the feedback bit rate under ideal conditions.

Alamouti Transmit Diversity for Energy Efficient Femtocells

2011 IEEE 73rd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2011
With the ever increasing demand for wireless broadband, design of energy efficient systems is paramount. Femtocells, small self installable wireless base stations, are currently being deployed as a solution to the coverage problems faced by mobile operators, particularly in indoor environments.

Transmit Diversity and Receiver Performance in a WCDMA System

IEEE GLOBECOM 2007-2007 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2007
In this paper, we study the performance of transmit diversity schemes in a wideband code-division multiple-access (WCDMA) system. We consider a space-time transmit diversity (STTD) scheme using the Alamouti code and a simple switch transmit diversity (STD) scheme in which the transmitter selects instantaneously the best antenna for transmission ...

On transmit diversity and scheduling in wireless packet data

ICC 2001. IEEE International Conference on Communications. Conference Record (Cat. No.01CH37240), 2002
Downlink time division multiplexing is considered for cellular packet-switched systems, in conjunction with scheduling algorithms for fast packet switching across the served users. Additionally, open and closed loop transmit diversity techniques at the base station are considered to improve the spectral efficiency of the resulting system.

Large-System Comparison of Space-Time Transmit Diversity and Orthogonal Transmit Diversity for Downlink W-CDMA

2006 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speed and Signal Processing Proceedings, 2006
In this paper, we continue our study of the performance of W-CDMA transmit diversity (TD) that we started in B. Mouhouche et al. (2005). We compare the performance of two open-loop TD techniques for W-CDMA: The space time transmit diversity (STTD) and the orthogonal transmit diversity (OTD).

Phase rotation Maximum Transmit Diversity code

Proceedings of 2011 International Conference on Electronic & Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology, 2011
In order to improve the reliability of Maximum Transmit Diversity (MTD) code in block fading channel, phase rotation MTD code is proposed in this paper. Through phase rotation of the transmitted signals, the burst decoding error is changed into random error at the receiver, which can be corrected easily.

A transmit diversity scheme for channels with intersymbol interference

2000 IEEE International Conference on Communications. ICC 2000. Global Convergence Through Communications. Conference Record, 2002
Alamouti (see Journal of Selective Communications, vol.16, no.8, p.1451-58, 1998) proposes a two branch transmit diversity scheme for channels without intersymbol interference. With two transmit antennas and one receive antenna the scheme provides second order diversity. In this paper we derive a new method which handles the corresponding case when the
