Transmit diversity for TDD systems
SPIE Proceedings, 2002Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) communications have been a hot research area in recent years. Most literature makes the assumption that the channel information is not known at the transmitter but known perfectly at the receiver. We focus on the situation where both the transmitter and the receiver know the channel information.

Transmit diversity in mobile communications
14th International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications. MIKON - 2002. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat.No.02EX562), 2003This paper shows the transmit diversity (TD) techniques in applications for communication systems. General classification of the TD techniques for both TDMA and CDMA systems is presented. Some very promising TD techniques are characterized, i.e. code division TD (CDTD) and the time division TD (TDTD).

On transmit diversity with imperfect channel state information
IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2002The optimal transmission strategy of a multiple-input single-output wireless communication link is studied in which the receiver has full channel state information and the transmitter has only long-term channel state information in terms of the channel covariance matrix.

A dCDD-Based Transmit Diversity for NOMA Systems
ICC 2020 - 2020 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2020In this paper, a new transmit diversity scheme for cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is proposed without perfect channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT). To support two users under a near-far user pairing constraint, a distributed cyclic delay diversity (dCDD) scheme is adjusted into NOMA by dividing a set of remote radio ...

Synchronization requirements for COFDM systems with transmit diversity
GLOBECOM '03. IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37489), 2004COFDM in combination with transmit and receive diversity is an attractive technique to increase robustness and throughput of wireless data transmission. In this paper we examine whether the sensitivity of COFDM to synchronization errors is further aggravated by these multiinput multioutput (MIMO) scenarios.

Transmit Diversity for LTE PUCCH with Channel Selection
2011 IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Fall), 2011In this paper, a framework for designing transmit diversity schemes for LTE PUCCH format 1b with channel selection is introduced. The design criterion is to utilize the same number of orthogonal resources as in the single transmit antenna mode while exploiting the full diversity order.

Alamouti Transmit Diversity for Energy Efficient Femtocells
2011 IEEE 73rd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC Spring), 2011With the ever increasing demand for wireless broadband, design of energy efficient systems is paramount. Femtocells, small self installable wireless base stations, are currently being deployed as a solution to the coverage problems faced by mobile operators, particularly in indoor environments.

Turbo processing in transmit antenna diversity systems
Annales Des Télécommunications, 2001We consider turbo-trellis-coded transmission over fading multiple-input-multiple-output (M1M0) channels with transmit diversity using space-time block codes. We give a new view on space-time block codes as a transformation of the fading MIMO channel towards a Gaussian single-input-single-output (siso) channel and provide analytical results on the BER ...

An adaptive technique for transmit antenna diversity with feedback
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2002Transmit antenna diversity (TAD) has been employed for third-generation wireless systems. We propose an adaptive technique for TAD with feedback. It is shown that the proposed adaptive technique can efficiently increase the number of transmit antennas without significantly increasing the feedback bit rate under ideal conditions.

A transmit diversity scheme for channels with intersymbol interference
2000 IEEE International Conference on Communications. ICC 2000. Global Convergence Through Communications. Conference Record, 2002Alamouti (see Journal of Selective Communications, vol.16, no.8, p.1451-58, 1998) proposes a two branch transmit diversity scheme for channels without intersymbol interference. With two transmit antennas and one receive antenna the scheme provides second order diversity. In this paper we derive a new method which handles the corresponding case when the
