Luminescence of Cr3+ in mullite transparent glass ceramics

Journal of Luminescence, 1986
Abstract Detailed spectroscopic studies of Cr in mullite ceramics are presented. An enormous broadening of absorption and emission spectra, highly nonexponential luminescence decays and luminescence line narrowing suggest a large inherent inhomogeneity of this material.
