Inhibition of transplanted mouse tumors by heterologous transfer RNA
Experientia, 1977Injections of yeast tRNA to C57BL mice decreased takes and inhibited growth of syngeneic transplanted tumors. Mice remaining free of tumors as result of this treatment failed to develop tumors after challenge with 5×104 cells of the same tumor.

The Role of Heterologous Antilymphocyte Globulins in Clinical Transplantation
American Journal of Kidney Diseases, 1982EXPERIMENT AL OAT A on the immunosuppressive capabilities of various preparations of anti-lymphoid cell sera and globulins have been accumulating since Metchnikoff's documentation in 1899 of the capacity of heterologous antisera to destroy leucocytes. Worldwide interest in the potential applicability of this model to transplantation was stimulated by ...

Heterologous Transplantation Versus Enhancement of Human Corneal Endothelium
Cornea, 1991The ability to successfully transplant human corneal endothelium would offer a significant advance in the treatment of many corneal diseases. To investigate the feasibility of this, we established cultures of endothelial cells derived from neonatal human corneas.

Renal Damage following Transplantations of Heterologous Placental Tissue
Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, 1981Immunological interrelations between placenta and kidney have become a matter of interest with regard to the pathogenesis of preeclampsia. Kidney morphology of Lewis rats was studied following repeated transplantations of heterologous or syngeneic placental tissue.

Transplantation of Homologous and Heterologous Tumors
Archives of Surgery, 1963Introduction Human tumors have been successfully transplanted into animals after conditioning the recipients with modalities such as irradiation and cortisone. 1-3 Successful routine transplantation of human tumors from the operating room into animals might provide a means of determining sensitivity of these tumors to specific chemotherapeutic agents.

OCULAR AND SUBCUTANEOUS INFLAMMATORY RESPONSES TO TRANSPLANTATION OF HETEROLOGOUS TUMORS
Archives of Ophthalmology, 1952THIS INVESTIGATION was undertaken to study the differences between the ocular and the subcutaneous inflammatory responses following heterologous tumor transplantation, and to determine whether such differences could account for the superiority of the ocular route as a transplantation site.
