Transversal Designs and Doubly-resolvable Designs
A problem which has recently attracted much interest is to arrange the blocks of a (v, k, 1)-BIBD into some of the cells of a square array such that each element of the design occurs in precisely one cell of each row and column of the array. For k = 2, the problem has been completely settled.

Remarks on Translation Transversal Designs [PDF]
The author studies the existence for translation transversal designs, i.e. for transversal designs (for short, TTDs) admitting a group \(G\) which acts regularly on the point set and for which the block orbits induce a parallelism. It is known that a TTD with parameters \((s,k,\lambda)\) is equivalent to a certain type of partition of \(G\) into ...

Private Information Retrieval From Transversal Designs [PDF]
Private information retrieval (PIR) protocols allow a user to retrieve entries of a database without revealing the index of the desired item. Information-theoretical privacy can be achieved by the use of several servers and specific retrieval algorithms. Most of known PIR protocols focus on decreasing the number of bits exchanged between the client and

Dynamic Response of Curved Tunnels under Vertical Incidence of Transversal SV Waves
Long tunnels often have curved sections when alignment designs are influenced by topography, adverse geology, and environmental factors. When the transversal SV wave is incident vertically, the curved section of the tunnel is subject to a connection ...

IntroductionExperiential learning is well-suited for developing transversal skills; however, poor understanding of pedagogical conditions for skill development reduces the contributions of such approaches in engineering education. This paper examines how

Remarks on Translation Transversal Designs [PDF]
In this paper the existence of translation transversal designs which is equivalent to the existence of certain particular partitions in finite groups is studied. All considerations are based on the fact that the particular component of such a partition (the component representing the point classes of the corresponding design) is a normal subgroup of ...
