TRAVELING WAVE SOLUTIONS TO THE HYPERELASTIC ROD EQUATION
The author studies an equation describing nonlinear dispersive waves in compressible cylindrical rods, the so called hyperelastic rod equation. The main result is the existence of traveling wave solutions for that equation as well as for two related models (\(b\)-family and modified Camassa-Holm equations).

Echinoderm‐Inspired Autonomy for Soft‐Legged Robots
Inspired by echinoderms, a modular soft robot achieves autonomous phototaxis without a central controller or explicit communication. Each limb independently adapts its actuation timing through local sensing and short‐term memory. Coordination emerges purely from physical interactions, demonstrating resilience to changes in morphology, environment, and ...

Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.

Traveling wave solutions of the Camassa–Holm equation
The Camassa-Holm equation (CHE) arises as a model for the unidirectional propagation of shallow water waves over a flat bottom, as well as a model for nonlinear waves in a cylindrical axially symmetric hyperelastic rod. CHE is a bi-Hamiltonian equation with infinitely many conservation laws.

Ectodermal tissue excised from Xenopus embryos self‐organizes into a three‐dimensional mucociliary organoid. Here, we generate a neural variant, termed neurobot, by implanting neural precursor cells. Neurobots develop mature neurons, adopt distinct morphologies, exhibit more complex motility, and respond differentially to neuroactive compounds. Imaging

A Plug‐and‐Play Volume Minimizing Micromixer
ABSTRACT Microscale fluid mixing has numerous applications where rapid and efficient mixing is required, including drug discovery, bio‐analysis and point‐of‐care diagnostics. Conventional soft lithography processes, however, make the integration of robust and reliable mixing difficult to implement in practice, especially across different flow rates ...

A Soft Robotic Model for Simulating Heart Valve Disease and Cardiac Interventions
This paper introduces a fully synthetic fabrication methodology for a soft robotic, in‐vitro model of the left‐heart, complete with a functioning mitral valve apparatus. With a view towards patient‐specific modeling, we demonstrate physiological flow and pressure waveforms, tunable mitral valve function with clinical imaging compatibility, and its use ...

Entire solutions for a mono-stable delay population model in a 2D lattice strip
This article concerns the entire solutions of a mono-stable age-structured population model in a 2D lattice strip. In a previous publication, we established the existence of entire solutions related to traveling wave solutions with speeds larger than ...
