Trichomonas vaginalis: Identification of a triacylglycerol acylhydrolase

Experimental Parasitology, 2005
This work describes the identification of a triacylglycerol lipase named TVLip directly onto blood-LB-agar plates by hemolytic screening of a Trichomonas vaginalis cDNA expression library. Sharing significant similarity in the primary sequence with other lipases, the theoretical 3D structure of the TVLip was resolved.

Composition and activity of commercial triacylglycerol acylhydrolase preparations

JAOCS, Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 2001
AbstractCommercial lipase preparations were surveyed to determine gross composition, amounts of nonprotein impurities, and esterolytic and lipolytic activities. Most of the 34 commercial lipase preparations contained more than 80% non‐proteinaceous material, with salt and carbohydrate being the most abundant materials. The tributyrin hydrolase activity

Development of functionalized single walled carbon nanotubes based triacylglycerol acylhydrolases

Synthetic Metals, 2013
Abstract Water soluble functionalized carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are extensively employed for biomedical applications in recent times. Their firmness in various environments is strongly depending on the functional groups anchored on the surface of nanotubes.
