Triacylglycerol Lipase Activities of Cultured Rat L6 Myoblasts [PDF]

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Biological Sciences, 1985
The utilization of exogenous triacylglycerol by fusing and non-fusing rat L6 myoblasts grown in culture was investigated. Although small quantities of triacylglycerol were accumulated by both cell lines during an incubation of 2 h, no evidence could be found for the presence of lipoprotein lipase, either in the cells or released into the medium.

The acid lipase gene family: three enzymes, one highly conserved gene structure

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1997
Human gastric lipase (HGL; triacylglycerol lipase; EC 3.1.1.3) plays an important role in the digestion of dietary triglycerides in the gastrointestinal tract, especially in patients suffering from pancreatic lipase deficiencies.

Arylacetamide deacetylase attenuates fatty-acid-induced triacylglycerol accumulation in rat hepatoma cells

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2010
Mobilization of hepatic triacylglycerol stores provides substrates for mitochondrial β-oxidation and assembly of VLDLs; however, the identity of lipolytic enzymes involved in the regulation of this process remains largely unknown.

Thermostable Lipase from Domestic Compost Isolated Bacteria

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Microbiology, 2019
Lipase (Triacylglycerol acyl hydrolase), is a hydrolase enzyme that plays an important role in industries such as health, food, biotechnology, and energy. Lipase might be isolated from almost all living organism, either higher organisms or microbes.

Lipid transfer from insect fat body to lipophorin: comparison between a mosquito triacylglycerol-rich lipophorin and a sphinx moth diacylglycerol-rich lipophorin

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1996
Two insect lipoproteins, triacylglycerol-rich Aedes aegypti lipophorin and diacylglycerol-rich Manduca sexta lipophorin, were compared in their ability to load neutral lipid from fat body. When fat body of M.

Effect of the lipase inhibitor orlistat and of dietary lipid on the absorption of radiolabelled triolein, tri-γ-linolenin and tripalmitin in mice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Orlistat, a selective inhibitor of gastrointestinal lipases, was used to investigate triacylglycerol absorption. Using mice and a variety of emulsified dietary lipids we found that the absorption of radiolabelled tripalmitin (containing the fatty acid 16:
