On some new analytical solutions for new coupled Konno–Oono equation by the external trial equation method

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, the external trial equation method is employed to solve new coupled Konno–Oono (CKO) equation. By using this method, new exact solutions involving parameters, expressed by generalized hyperbolic and elleptic solutions are obtained.

Cerebrospinal Fluid Liquid Biopsy Enables Targeted Therapy Without Tissue Diagnosis in Pediatric Low‐Grade Gliomas With BRAF V600E Mutation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We present two pediatric cases of pediatric low‐grade gliomas (PLGG) with BRAF V600E mutations diagnosed and monitored using cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) liquid biopsy analyzed via digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), without tissue biopsy. Both patients were treated with dabrafenib and trametinib and monitored through clinical assessments, magnetic ...

Hydrogen atom in a magnetic field: The quadrupole moment

open access: yes, 2001
The quadrupole moment of a hydrogen atom in a magnetic field for field strengths from 0 to 4.414e13 G is calculated by two different methods. The first method is variational, and based on a single trial function.

Application of near infrared reflectance spectroscopy in screening of fresh cassava (Manihot esculenta crantz) storage roots for provitamin A carotenoids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A developed Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS) calibration equation was used for determining provitamin A carotenoids contents of different trials of fresh yellow root cassava genotypes using a total of 50 cassava genotypes scanned twice by ...

Trial equation method and its applications to nonlinear evolution equations

open access: yesActa Physica Sinica, 2005
A new method, that is, trial equation method, was given to obtain the exact trav eling wave solutions for nonlinear evolution equations. As an example, a class o f fifth-order nonlinear evolution equations was discussed. Its exact traveling w ave solutions, which included rational form solutions, solitary wave solutions, triangle function periodic ...

A Comparative Study of Cerebral Oxygenation During Exercise in Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis Patients

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

A variational method to study the Zakharov equation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2005
A variational method given by Ritz has been applied to the Zakharov equation to construct an analytical solution. The solution of Zakharov equation gives a good description of both linear and nonlinear evolutions of instabilities generated in waves due ...

Neuroevolution-enabled adaptation of the Jacobi method for Poisson’s equation with density discontinuities

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters, 2021
Lacking labeled examples of working numerical strategies, adapting an iterative solver to accommodate a numerical issue, e.g., density discontinuities in the pressure Poisson equation, is non-trivial and usually involves a lot of trial and error.

The Cosmological Constant as an Eigenvalue of a Sturm-Liouville Problem and its Renormalization

open access: yes, 2005
We discuss the case of massive gravitons and their relation with the cosmological constant, considered as an eigenvalue of a Sturm-Liouville problem. A variational approach with Gaussian trial wave functionals is used as a method to study such a problem.

Intraoperative Collection of Ascitic Fluid With Intra‐ or Postoperative Reinfusion in Ovarian Cancer: Safety and Feasibility of a Roller Pumping Method

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients with ovarian cancer often present with massive ascites, leading to significant protein loss during surgical procedures. Although cell‐free concentrated ascites reinfusion therapy (CART) is used in palliative settings to mitigate protein loss, its application in intraoperative settings remains unexplored.
