Generalized trial equation method and its applications toDuffing and Poisson--Boltzmann equations
Summary: The trial equation method, which was proposed by Cheng-Shi Liu, is a very powerful method for solving nonlinear differential equations. After the original trial method, some modified versions of the trial equation method were introduced and applied to some famous nonlinear differential equations.

Microscopic Study of ${}^1{S_0}$ Superfluidity in Dilute Neutron Matter
Singlet $S$-wave superfluidity of dilute neutron matter is studied within the correlated BCS method, which takes into account both pairing and short-range correlations.

ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Using Relative Entropy to Find Optimal Approximations: an Application to Simple Fluids
We develop a maximum relative entropy formalism to generate optimal approximations to probability distributions. The central results consist in (a) justifying the use of relative entropy as the uniquely natural criterion to select a preferred ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

This paper has two main objectives. First, we modify the traffic flow model by introducing the uphill dispersion that derives from the fact that, in peak hours, drivers tend to travel from low to high density regions.

Application of Trial Equation Method for Solving the Benjamin Ono Equation
In the article, the nonlinear equation is reduced to an ordinary differential equation under the travelling wave transformation. Using trial equation method, the ODE is reduced to the elementary integral form. In the end, complete discrimination system for polynomial is used to solve the corresponding integrals and obtain the classification of all ...

Variational calculations for anisotropic solitons in dipolar Bose-Einstein condensates
We present variational calculations using a Gaussian trial function to calculate the ground state of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation and to describe the dynamics of the quasi-two-dimensional solitons in dipolar Bose-Einstein condensates.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

New exact solutions for generalized Gardner equation
In this research, we seek exact solutions of generalized Gardner equation. We make use of extended trial equationmethod to attain exact solutions of generalized Gardner equation. Firstly, we find some exact solutions such as soliton solutions, rational,
