Triangle Sparsifiers

Summary: In this work, we introduce the notion of triangle sparsifiers, i.e., sparse graphs which are approximately the same to the original graph with respect to the triangle count. This results in a practical triangle counting method with strong theoretical guarantees.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

We study 3-random-likegraphs, that is, sequences of graphs in which the densities of triangles and anti-triangles converge to 1/8. Since the random graph$\mathcal{G}$n,1/2is, in particular, 3-random-like, this can be viewed as a weak version of quasi-randomness.
