ON A BOUNDARY-VALUE PROBLEM FOR THE THIRD ORDER OF A PARABOLO-HYPERBOLIC TYPE IN A VAGINATED SIXTY-DIMENSIONAL REGION [PDF]

open access: yesVestnik KRAUNC: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2016
In the study of problems of mathematical physics, the methods of differential and integral equations are used. This paper is an example of the application of these methods to the solution of a single boundary-value problem for a third-order parabolic ...

Characterization of Clinical Phenotype to Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein Concentrations in Alexander Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To determine the concentration of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma in Alexander disease (AxD) and whether GFAP levels are predictive of disease phenotypes. Methods CSF and plasma were collected (longitudinally when available) from AxD participants and non‐AxD controls.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.
