Multi-Metric φ-Contractions on Quadrilaterals with Applications to Fractional Boundary-Value Problems

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we introduce a general class of quadrilateral total pairwise φ-contractions and investigate fixed-point results for such mappings in metric and semimetric spaces endowed with multiple distinct metrics.

Triangular C2 Interpolants by Piecewise Rational Functions

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2016
In this paper a C2 interpolation scheme on a triangle is presented. The interpolant assumes given values and derivatives of orders up to 2 at the vertices of the triangle. It is made up of partial interpolants blended with weight functions.

Evaluation of Static Potential Integrals on Triangular Domains

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Static potential integrals for constant and linear sources on triangles are derived in a straightforward way. The new representations, as presented, are robust with respect to machine evaluation in important limiting cases.

Triangles III: Complex triangle functions

open access: yesAequationes Mathematicae, 1997
This is the third in a series of three papers that examine Euclidean geometry via complex cross-ratios. The first two papers [ibid. 52, No. 1-2, 30-54 (1996; Zbl 0860.51009); ibid., No. 3, 215-245 (1996; Zbl 0860.51010)] considered triangle shapes and triangle coordinates.

On generalizations of some fixed point theorems in semimetric spaces with triangle functions

open access: yesFrontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics
In the present study, we prove generalizations of Banach, Kannan, Chatterjea, Ćirić-Reich-Rus fixed point theorems, as well as of the fixed point theorem for mapping contracting perimeters of triangles.

Triangle Centers as Functions

open access: yesRocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, 1993
In the Euclidean plane \(\mathbb{R}^ 2\) let be given a triangle \(\Delta A_ 1 A_ 2 A_ 3\) with respective sidelengths \(a_ 1, a_ 2, a_ 3\). By `homogeneous trilinear coordinates' \(x_ 1, x_ 2, x_ 3\) of a point \(X \in \mathbb{R}^ 2\) one understands any triple of real numbers proportional to the directed distances from \(X\) to the sides \(A_ 2 A_ 3\)

The exact values of nonsquare constants for a class of Orlicz spaces [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2005
We extend the \(M_{\triangle}\)-condition from [Han J.,Li X.: On Exact Value of Packing for a Class of Orlicz Spaces. (Chinese), Journal of Tongji Univ. 30 (2002) 7, 895–899] and introduce the \(\Phi_{\triangle}\)-condition at zero.

On triangle inequalities of correlation-based distances for gene expression profiles

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2023
Background Distance functions are fundamental for evaluating the differences between gene expression profiles. Such a function would output a low value if the profiles are strongly correlated—either negatively or positively—and vice versa.

Studying Stability of a Non-linear Autoregressive Model [PDF]

open access: yesمجلة التربية والعلم, 2018
In this paper we study the stability of one non-linear autoregressive model with hyperbolic triangle function polynomial with hyperbolic tangent function (singular point and it's stability conditions and the stability of the limit cycle) by using the ...
