Col is PSPACE-complete on Triangular Grids

open access: yesCoRR
We demonstrate that Col is PSPACE-complete on triangular grid graphs via a reduction from Bounded Two-Player Constraint Logic. This is the most structured graph family that Col is known to be computationally hard for.

Disorder‐Induced Extremely Low Thermal Conductivity of Graphite Fluoride

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This article investigates the effect of fluorination on the thermal conductivity of graphite fluoride, demonstrating the relationship between structural modification and thermal conductivity in an extreme case. The record‐low through‐plane thermal conductivity measured in exfoliated graphite fluoride flakes was found to correlate with the wide ...

Lattice Boltzmann Scheme for Diffusion on Triangular Grids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper we present a Lattice Boltzmann scheme for diffusion on it unstructured triangular grids. In this formulation of a LB for irregular grids there is no need for interpolation, which is required in other LB schemes on irregular grids. At the end of the propagation step the lattice gas particles arrive exactly at neighbouring lattice sites, as

Support operator method for Laplace equation on unstructured triangular grid

open access: yes, 2002
this paper is to apply our ideas to construction of mimetic FDMs for solution of generalized Laplace problems in strongly heterogeneous materials on unstructured triangular computational grids in 2D. The paper is arranged as follows.

Phase Diagrams and Piezoelectric Properties of Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN Heterostructural Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates ferroelectricity and piezoelectric properties improvement of quaternary wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films, guided by density functional theory calculations. Wurtzite Al1−x−yScxGdyN${\rm Al}_{1-x-y}{\rm Sc}_x{\rm Gd}_y{\rm N}$ films have a high optical bandgap, enhanced piezoelectric ...

Metal‐Enhanced Charge Transport and its Mechanism in Atomically Precise Ruthenium Single‐Molecule Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An atomically precise platform was developed for investigating single‐molecule charge transport. This innovative platform enables the creation of highly uniform molecular devices using ruthenium‐based molecules. It reveals a significant enhancement in molecular conductance due to the metallic ruthenium center and a unique barrier‐lowering effect during

Planning of Cutter Path in High Speed Machining Based on Mapping of Triangular Grid Surface

open access: yes, 2016
This paper puts forward an algorithm of generating a constant CNC spiral path based on curved surface of triangular grid. This algorithm takes fully consideration of the geometry and dynamics characteristics of the cutter-path and triangular grid cell ...

Enhancing Maturation of Human Neuromuscular Organoids via Electrical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A framework for on‐demand and non‐invasive exposure of human neuromuscular organoids (NMOs) to electrical stimuli is established to promote their maturation. The robustness and effectiveness of different stimulation regimes are evaluated via thorough characterization of organoid tissue structure and contraction capacity. Chronic electrical stimulation,

Large‐Scale Genomics Reveals Three‐Source Ancestry and Layered Adaptation to High Altitude in Tibetan Chickens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome analysis of 1,054 chickens reveals three ancestral sources (NWC, SYA, and SHF) with distinct temporal entry patterns into the Tibetan Plateau. Route‐specific selection scans, calibrated against a demographic null, suggest complementary functional enrichments—vascular homeostasis (NWC), calcium signaling and cardiac adaptation (SYA), and ...
