Effect of Vascepa (icosapent ethyl) on progression of coronary atherosclerosis in patients with elevated triglycerides (200-499 mg/dL) on statin therapy: Rationale and design of the EVAPORATE study. [PDF]
Despite reducing progression and promoting regression of coronary atherosclerosis, statin therapy does not fully address residual cardiovascular (CV) risk.

The study found that RPL6 is frequently upregulated in HCC tissues with extrahepatic metastasis. Elevated RPL6 bound to and increased the stability of HMGCS1 mRNA, thereby enhancing intracellular cholesterol levels. Subsequently, increased cholesterol promotes cancer metastasis in HCC by stabilizing HIF‐1α protein.

Atherosclerosis Residual Lipid Risk-Overview of Existing and Future Pharmacotherapies
Patients with atherosclerotic disease remain at increased risk of future events despite receiving optimal medical treatment. This residual risk is widely heterogeneous, but lipoprotein particles and their content play a major role in determining future ...

Oral aspirin administration induces intestinal expansion of Lactobacillus murinus and Lactobacillus johnsonii, which suppresses the progression of atherosclerosis. This microbial expansion significantly enhances butyrate production by providing lactate as a metabolic substrate, thereby fostering the growth of butyrate‐producing bacteria. Butyrate plays

Little is known about lipid changes that occur in the setting of metabolic-dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) regression. We previously reported improvements in hepatic steatosis, de novo lipogenesis (DNL), and metabolomic profiles ...

The DNA demethylase TET3 drives lipid metabolic reprogramming in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma via a non‐catalytic mechanism. TET3 recruits histone deacetylases to repress GATA6, sustaining lipogenic enzyme expression and ferroptosis resistance.
