An Apolipoprotein Influencing Triglycerides in Humans and Mice Revealed by Comparative Sequencing

open access: yesScience, 2001
Comparison of genomic DNA sequences from human and mouse revealed a new apolipoprotein (APO) gene (APOAV) located proximal to the well-characterized APOAI/CIII/AIV gene cluster on human 11q23.

Asprosin‐FABP5 Interaction Modulates Mitochondrial Fatty Acid Oxidation through PPARα Contributing to MASLD Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Aided by FABP5, abnormally elevated asprosin in hepatocytes enters the nucleus, targets and inhibits PPARα binding to the CPT1A promoter, thereby suppressing FAO. Circulating asprosin exacerbates insulin resistance, collectively driving MASLD progression.

Predictors and morphological properties of culprit healed plaques in patients with angina pectoris

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 45, Issue 12, Page 1199-1210, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Background Plaque healing may serve a vital function in the natural progression of atherosclerotic disease. This study sought to investigate predictors and morphological characteristics of healed plaque (HP) among angina pectoris (AP) patients.

ANGPTL4 silencing via antisense oligonucleotides reduces plasma triglycerides and glucose in mice without causing lymphadenopathy

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2022
Angiopoietin-like 4 (ANGPTL4) is an important regulator of plasma triglyceride (TG) levels and an attractive pharmacological target for lowering plasma lipids and reducing cardiovascular risk.

Paternal Obesity‐Induced H3K27me3 Elevation Leads to MANF‐Mediated Transgenerational Metabolic Dysfunction in Female Offspring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Paternal lifestyle and environmental exposures play a critical role in the offspring's health. The present study established a paternal obesity model and demonstrated that elevated H3K27me3 levels in sperm persist through the 8‐cell embryo stage. This epigenetic modification triggers transgenerational decrease of MANF, inducing ER stress and activating

Day‐to‐day fasting plasma glucose variability on the short‐term prognosis of ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 45, Issue 12, Page 1246-1254, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Background and Hypothesis Glycemic variability in one fact that explain the differences in cardiovascular outcomes. The short‐term fasting plasma glucose (FPG) variability may have an on major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).

Antisense Oligonucleotide Inhibition of Apolipoprotein C-III Reduces Plasma Triglycerides in Rodents, Nonhuman Primates, and Humans

open access: yesCirculation Research, 2013
Rationale: Elevated plasma triglyceride levels have been recognized as a risk factor for the development of coronary heart disease. Apolipoprotein C-III (apoC-III) represents both an independent risk factor and a key regulatory factor of plasma ...
