Bioinspired Prolactin Pulse Release from Responsive Microneedles for Inhibiting Fatty Liver Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the prolactin secretion profile under normal physiological conditions, biomimetic prolactin‐releasing microneedles are designed. Under the control of near infrared (NIR), these responsive microneedles facilitate pulsed release of prolactin to inhibit fatty liver formation.

Hyperspectral Fluorescence Imaging with a New Polarity‐Ultrasensitive Fluorescent Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on the critical role of the π‐spacer in determining wavelength sensitivity to microenvironmental polarity, a new fluorescent probe, Lipi‐PS is rationally developed, which exhibits the highest polarity‐sensitivity so far. Its integration with hyperspectral fluorescence imaging enables multiscale polarity mapping across cells, tissues, and ...

Deficiency of Leucine‐Rich Repeat Containing G Protein‐Coupled Receptor 4 in Pancreas Reduces β Cell Mass

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In islet β cells, LGR4 binds with Rspondin to activate the Wnt‐β‐catenin‐Ccnd1 axis, leading to a subsequent increase in cell proliferation. On the other hand, LGR4 also binds with RANKL, thus suppressing the phosphorylation of p44/p42 MAPK and p65 NF‐κB and subsequent cell apoptosis.
